ENGJenna M. Gibbs is Associate Professor of history at Florida International University, where she teaches Atlantic, Global, and American history. She is broadly interested in the intersections among culture, politics, religion, and race in the British Atlantic and imperial world. She is the author of Performing the Temple of Liberty: Slavery, Theater, and Popular Culture in London and Philadelphia, 1760s–1850s (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2014), co-editor, with Keith Baker, of Life Forms in the Thinking of the Long Eighteenth Century (University of Toronto Press, 2016), editor of Global Protestant Missions: Politics, Reform and Communication, 1730s-1930s (Routledge, 2020), and co-editor, with Sarah J.
