She is a graduate of the Northwestern University Honors Program in Medical Education and has completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine. Additionally, she holds a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Illinois, Chicago, School of Public Health. Currently, Dr. Mikhailov serves as a Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Critical Care at Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin. She has also worked as a clinical consultant and made significant contributions to the development of a quality improvement module for critically ill children. Dr. Mikhailov's research primarily focuses on examining the impact of nutrition on clinical outcomes in critically ill children, and she has published numerous articles on this subject.
