Overview

She signed up to sell homes for the rich and famous. She didn't realize they'd be mobsters, murderers, and mad hatters. Nico Griffith buried her sadness under a gritty work ethic. Stunned when her husband of two decades requested a divorce for Mother's Day, the nearly broke and newly single woman shook off the shock and dove into the heartless job market. Finding a fit for her maverick personality in the wacky world of real estate, she never imagined she'd become a sympathetic ear for clients to confess their deeds of love... and murder. Changing names to protect the guilty, Nico Griffith has crafted a laugh-out-loud memoir that contains surprising insights into the tough grind of professional real estate. And as this true-life dark comedy unfolds, you'll delight in the stream of absurdities while cheering for the hapless star and her agent sisterhood known as the Fab Five. In Pandora's Lockbox, you'll be enthralled by: A frightening backyard confrontation with a sharp-toothed, fifteen-foot-long pet A homicidal Southern belle's sobbing request to be led away in handcuffs A chance encounter with a captivating Texan whose love would change Nico's life forever The new girl without a car who came up on aggressive flashers, oodles of loose snakes, and would be-killers while chasing leads Tequila-fueled, after-hours anecdotes, an endless whirlwind of intrigue and romance, mind bending client calls from behind bars, and much, much more! Pandora's Lockbox is one woman's tell-all account of an award-winning career in real estate. If you like determined heroines, jaw-dropping surprises, and underdog success stories, then you'll adore Nico Griffith's educational entertainment. Read Pandora's Lockbox today and open the door to the unexpected!

Reviews

"""A gossipy and witty peek behind the real estate curtain. The author's voice is peppy and fun as she guides the reader through the relentlessly dramatic real estate scene. ""So You Want To Be An Agent Quiz"" at the end is a highlight of the book that's indicative of Griffith's extensive knowledge and chatty, relatable style."" - Kirkus Review ""Pandora's Lockbox is anything but predictable. Its hilarious stories will delight the general public as well as would-be and existing real estate pros. One thing is for certain: readers will never think of the real estate industry or agents in exactly the same way after absorbing the trials and tribulations that involve the agents inside Pandora's Lockbox."" - Midwest Book Review ""The stories I read here (in Pandora's Lockbox) completely blew me away. I'll suggest this to anybody involved in the real estate industry. If you're looking for a quick read that will make you giggle, this is it."" - Online Book Club 5/5 Star Review ""Fans of soap operas and daytime television will get a kick out of Griffith's jocular, episodic retellings of her most memorable encounters during her real estate career. At times funny and other times jawdropping, Pandora's Lockbox also attests to what it takes to make a career-and the value of creating connections as a woman in business."" - Booklife Review "" The escapades in Pandora's Lockbox are short, firsthand accounts written with a wicked sense of humor and in the same engaging manner as tales told over a stiff drink...or two... or five. The author's descriptions of her agent cohorts, known as the Fab Five, are so vivid that one can't help but connect with a favorite in the same way they would with a television series character. All in all, Pandora's Lockbox is a fun, eye-opening read!"" - Non-Fiction Writers Assn Review ""I've been reading a fun real estate blog and wanted to find something longer for a flight. This was recommended. Wow, insane times selling houses. Luxury real estate meets a wild memoir. A visually descriptive book, it made me want to watch a tv show about it. There is actually an alligator, but I don't want to spoil it."" - Hally F. United Kingdom ""I have to say your book is quite entertaining. I could not quit giggling. Your stories are full of humor, quirkiness, and adventure. When I finished the book, I was craving more. I am hoping you will write a sequel."" - Kara Schumann, author ""Nico, you've been living in my head ever since I started your book on the day I received it. If time had permitted, I would have finished in one sitting. It was gripping, shocking at times and kept me thoroughly enthralled."" - Stephenie Caughlin ""Pandora's Lockbox is a MUST read for all real estate agents! I found it hard to put the book down - it was that good!"" - Emily Proctor ""I am having the time of my life reading Pandora's Lockbox! I stayed up till 1:30 a.m. last night reading it. I had to force myself to go to bed. I'm a Realtor and I get it! You are funny!!! And oh so wildly entertaining. OK, I have to go back to finish reading your book."" - Kathleen Bailey ""I would just like you to know your book is interfering with my job . . . . I can't put it down and my work is suffering! I'm halfway through and it's GREAT!"" - Kathy Angello, agent"
