He teaches painting at the University of Vermont. His award-winning artwork can be found in private and corporate collections, and has been selected for numerous juried and invitational exhibitions. Dye's work has also appeared in The Artist's Magazine and been featured in Pastel Artist International magazine. He is a member of the Oil Pastel Association, the United Pastelists of America, and founded the Vermont Pastel Society. He lives in St. George, Vermont, with his wife Sally, and their three children.
