Overview

The Oxford Picture Dictionary Canadian Workbooks are accompaniments to the OPD that allow it to be more easily used in the classroom as a core text. They correlate to the dictionary page-for-page with vocabulary reinforcing exercises at each of the three available levels. Each book comes with a listening section at the back of the book and access to online audio. The workbooks can also be used for self study.

Author Information

Marjorie Fuchs holds a Master's degree in Applied English Linguistics and a Certificate in TESOL from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught ESL at the New York City Technical College and LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York. Marjorie has co-authored many widely used ESL textbooks, including the first edition of the OPD Workbooks, and the Focus on Grammar series (Pearson). Margaret Bonner holds a Master's degree in Library Science from Columbia University and she has done work towards a Ph.D. in English Literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She has taught ESL at Hunter College and the Borough of Manhattan Community College of the City University of New York, at Taiwan National University in Taipei, and at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She has also co-authored many widely used ESL textbooks, including the first edition of the OPD Workbooks and the Focus on Grammar series (Pearson).
