Throughout his career, he has received many honours, including being named a Companion of the Order of Canada and receiving several honourary doctoral degrees. Pratt also designed the provincial flag of Newfoundland and Labrador, and has work included in major collections, both public and private, throughout Canada and other parts of the world. Retrospectives of his work have been organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1985, and again in 2005 by the National Gallery of Canada.
