Overview

Orca is a woodland surveyor, working and sleeping among the trees. When she meets Nadia, a young woman who needs her help, Orca's stable routine is interrupted and her journey begins. She must choose, again and again, to either follow her instructions for the survey or allow a deeper programming to kick in: the imperative to aid and protect human beings. As Orca and Nadia travel from woodland to woodland, friendships are made, memories start to surface and Orca questions what is real in her surroundings as well as deep within herself.

Anna Chilvers lives in Hebden Bridge with her family. She teaches Creative Writing at WEA. EAST COAST ROAD was her third novel. Her first, FALLING THROUH CLOUDS was translated into Russian and her second TAINTED LOVE has just been optioned by a production company for TV/Film.
