Styx has been forced into doing dirty work for Arcadia's nastiest mob boss, Cronus Othonos, in order to pay off her sister's mountain of gambling debts. His drug, Ambrosia, evokes something rare in Styx: the battle prowess of Ares, god of discord. This makes her all the more effective at doling out punishments for those stupid enough to cross Cronus and his dangerous cartel. It also means he's unlikely to ever release such a precious weapon of destruction. But one day, Cronus's rival forces Styx to make an impossible choice: double cross the Othonos family, get her freedom, or go to prison for her past crimes. There's no way out, and with her sister's life on the line, Styx is backed into yet another corner. Styx grapples with her Ambrosia addiction while trying to find a way to escape the hell of Arcadia's criminal underbelly. A voice in her head that only speaks when she's high on Ambrosia grows louder and more... alive with every hit of the drug. She can't tell if she's burning out, or if something larger and more ominous is at play. Styx has to make the choice: hand over the secrets of Ambrosia, leaving the people of Arcadia to suffer the gods-ordained consequences to gain her freedom, or do something even more unhinged like taking the Othonos family out with the help of her friends and the fire of Ares' wrath.
