Laura McLaughlin has created a workbook that includes both parent education regarding defiance and oppositional responses in children, and a range of fun and innovative parent-child activities. She has used her years of experience in working with kids who struggle with compliance and challenging behaviors to draw from an eclectic therapeutic background spanning cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and attachment theory. This workbook is an excellent resource for parents who want to understand their challenging child better, to rework the parent-child relationship, and to build skills for both kids and parents to understand and regulate emotions, communicate effectively, and bond at a deeper level. --Jennifer Morrison, Ph.D.; owner of Kids BRAIN, LLC
