Overview

Erich von Stamp changed his name when at 7 he was to become and American citizen. No one in the family would thing that Eric Stamp in his desire to join the Army would travel to Germany in 1934 and become Oberstleutnant Eric von Stamp. This is the core of Operation Phoenix. It was the work of a new President and a man who at the time said just call me Bill. The question is one of smarts. Is he smarter than the SS or the Gestapo?

G. L. Woodruff writes from his home in Swartz Creek. He has written 20 other books. He does this as a hobby. He has worked for and retired from General Motors. He also has worked on several ambulance companies in the area as an EMT. He is also a retired paid on call Fire Captain. His main passion and work though is the Gospel Ministry. He has been a pastor for almost 40 years. In this time he has also written 6 Christian books and published a book of poems by his wife of 43 years, Shirley. He did contribute a couple of poems in this work. He currently pastors Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Vernon, Michigan. Dr. Woodruff continues to write from his home in Swartz Creek.
