Table of ContentsReviewsJohn is creating a body of work that slips through the cracks, and bursts into being like mycelial fruit in a dark hollow: or like a vermillion bird that rises from the depths of the Northern waters to ascend unto the heights of the Southern reaches. We are reminded that the Sage always faces South in the classical Chinese worldview, and in this new text, John makes the critical turn from the path of the living ghost, to the communion, communication, and consanguinity with the Heart Spirit: the Shen. Taking the ontological turn, paradoxically is the path of return. Opening to the multiple, returns one to the unity within that multiplicity. -Brandt Stickley, L.Ac Assistant Professor College of Classical Chinese Medicine National University of Natural Medicine Po rtland, Oregon Author InformationJohn Anderson received his Master of Sciences degree from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2009 and his Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2012 from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
