Even writing for the Web requires an exploration of search engine optimisation, social media optimisation and Web analytics. Thankfully it's clear that in writing Online Journalism: The Essential Guide, Steve Hill and Paul Lashmar have not underestimated the scale of the challenge: the book covers almost all of the areas listed above, as well as the increasingly entrepreneurial character of journalism online. -- Paul Bradshaw, Birmingham City University, The steady decline in circulation of the print media continues to be a source of deep concern: there is much talk of the slow death of our trade.
