Overview

THIS IS A NEW EDITION OF THIS ITEM Stone - Government Agent 'One of Those Days' Ernest Stone was one of the best black-ops members the military had ever seen. After years of service and several successful missions that will forever remain classified, he retired to the great state of Texas where he makes a living as a strategic motivational speaker. Well. Not really. Really, this good ole boy is still doing secret missions for the United States. He's just more off-the-books than ever before. His contact, a man known as Father, is one of a handful that knows of his active status. Father assigns him the missions and Ernie gets the job done. That's just how he likes it. That doesn't keep him from trying to pick up a date. Problem is, he can defuse a bomb and speak numerous languages, but he can't figure out how to talk to women. Not until he goes on a secret mission to stop an assassination in Lebatnia, a Pacific Island country where mineral rights are going to the highest bidder. His female contact there, a beautiful agent working directly for the Island's President, connects with Ernie just fine. Things start happening between the two of them even as people start turning up dead and the President gets shot. The President survives, but now Ernie has even less time to figure out who the assassin is, and stop them before the next shot does the job.

Author Information

Ruth Ford Elward, author of diverse storytelling. I love drama, action, adventure, mysteries and thrillers, if you love variety in your reading, then we're kindred spirits. My greatest joy is to be able to lose myself in my writing and give readers an array of diverse, action filled stories. My stories include plots against a government, solving crimes, creating black op missions, finding a long lost artifact that could change the world or thwarting a plot to regain a kingdom. A variety that will satisfy the most discriminating reader. After years in the business world between managing a division for an international financial printing company, modeling in my spare time and later switching careers to performing esthetic and laser treatments, I found another passion in the world of writing. I believe, writing keeps the mind sharp and gives me the opportunity to exercise my imagination to engage the reader.
