Overview

Written with panache in the tradition of Dion Fortune, Mary Bishop regales us with a compelling story based on two lives time-lines of intertwined relationships, illustrating Spiritual Truths of the consequences for one's actions through time and space. The author, authoritatively versed in matters Spiritual, presents the principles of reincarnation, life after death and the persistence of patterns called 'karma', in an easy-to-understand way, through storytelling. It feels like a channelled piece of writing. The characters are detailed, relatable, and convincing, and the clusters of relationships believable from the first encounter to the end of the tale in another time and place. The historical settings are authentic and well described and the language used is time appropriate.

An excellent style, one that keeps you wanting to read more. I am so glad that you have written it. It will be a lesson for many. GC.; Ostensibly this is a work of fiction. But is it? It rings very true. The author is telling the story of past life adventures and their consequences in the present. Most readers however will see it as fiction. It reads well either way. There is a story that is interesting in its own right - can be read just as a story - but contains deep spiritual truths. It's the most enjoyable way to learn.; There are 3 parts to the book. Part 1 introduces us to the cast of characters in King Louis XV's palace in Versailles. The characters are all prominent people. They are of good families and are either personally involved in the King's court or members of the family of people involved. There is so much corruption going on - so many intrigues - so much underhandedness - that one wonders how anything ever got done. Terrible things happen here - betrayal, tragedy, assaults and even murder.;Part 2 deals with the after life - as the characters pass over. It is a beautiful portrait. All is love.Bitter enemies in life are reconciled. Each of the characters undergoes a life review - but this is a non judgemental affair - conducted by the Elders. In this higher state of consciousness, each of the characters sees the failings of the previous incarnation and sees what needs to be done.; In Part 3 the same characters reincarnate in modern England. The spiritual connections of the past are still active. They are drawn to each other by ties that are stronger than steel. Some reincarnate in the same family. Some are married to each other. Unrequited love in Versailles becomes consummated now. A wound in a past life appears as a sensitivity in the present one. Every one gets together to work out their past karmas. Everything gets adjusted. I really enjoyed reading this book. ; I had trouble putting it down. There are deep truths expressed here but very easy to read. She shows rather than tells. She only deals with two lifetimes in this work. But imagine this multiplied many fold. Most people have had hundreds and even thousands of incarnations. Each life is a continuum of many, many other and on going.;A well written and enjoyable read. JP; I love the story and enjoyed reading the book very much. Most people have heard of reincarnation in these enlightened times. I think a wide and varied audience would appreciate this story, it has history, spirituality, and eternal questions - what's not to love? The characters are believable and interesting, as are the time periods, especially Versailles. I feel people would enjoy it immensely, as I said bove, who doesn't want to dream they've lived before? It's an alluring theme. JL.;

Author Information

Mary Bishop - Author, Psychic, Photographer; I was working at a Psychic Festival in Bristol when I had my first Mediumship experience. It was at the end of the second day and the cue of people waiting for a Tarot reading was not going down.; I was very tired and when the next person sat down, shuffled the cards, and handed them to me, I laid out the spread and my mind went blank. I looked at the cards but for the first time in my life, I could not read them. But at that moment I started to pick up information from people who had passed over.; This was back in the 1980s and from that moment on, often when I read the cards for people, their deceased friends and relatives come through, including one time when a dog jogged my arm to make sure I knew she was there.; In the decades that followed, I have been fortunate enough to give my clients proof of survival from those who have passed on and seeing the joy in my their faces, is one of the greatest rewards I can have. ; My interest in writing started in the 1970's when I went to writing classes with my father. We shared a love of words and enjoyed the time together and I learnt the fundamentals, even though it would be a long time before I put them to use.; It was 2002 and we were living in New Zealand when I wrote my first article. It was about Reiki and Tarot and I sent it to the local paper, the Ponsonby News, who changed one word, and published it. From then on I wrote regular articles for them until 2005 when we moved back to the UK.; For the next few years my writing took a back seat until 2015 when I decided to write my autobiography about my psychic experiences, which was published in 2016. Once I had written one book, the ideas came flooding through and I have written two further books, both novels with a spiritual theme, the most recent being published in January this year.; My book writing also renewed my writing of articles and I have regularly contributed to spiritual publications both in the UK and the USA and still do to this day.; Until recently we lived in Brighton & Hove and were fortunate to enjoy some amazing sunsets from our apartment. Every one was different and I started taking photographs and over the years I have amassed some magical moments. When we are out and about a camera is never far away and I love to share my photographs with others through my website and on Instagram.; We have recently refurbished our new home in West Sussex, and when not writing, I enjoy catching up with friends and family and a glass of Chablis at the end of the day.
