Overview

Some wars don't end, some scars don't heal, and some bonds can't be broken. Former U.S. Army Ranger medic, Leo Jenkins, picks up where he left off with his bestselling book, Lest We Forget, to explore the tribulations associated with attempting to reintegrate back into society after years at war. In what is being considered one of the most significant introspectives on veteran transition issues ever written, Jenkins lays it all on the line one more time with On Assimilation: A Ranger's Return From War. Contains mature themes.

Author Information

Leo Jenkins is the author of Lest We Forget, On Assimilation, and First Train Out of Denver. He is a former Ranger medic, life connoisseur, writer of words, traveler of nations, and drinker of beers. Matthew Sanders is a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, serving as a light infantryman in Third Battalion, Seventy-Fifth Ranger Regiment from 2002-2007. After separating from the Army, he attended the Los Angeles Film School, graduating in 2009 with an Associates in Film making. Since film school, he has worked on various projects to include Nomadic Veterans, which was accepted into the 2015 GI Film Festival. Marty Skovlund Jr. enlisted in the United States Army immediately after high school. He served in a variety of roles in the First Battalion, Seventy-Fifth Ranger Regiment, and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan on multiple occasions. In 2012 he founded Blackside Concepts, and after eight years of service now runs his business full time. He lives with his wife and daughter in Colorado Springs. Corey Snow, a full-time audiobook narrator and voice actor living in the great Pacific Northwest, has been everything from a paratrooper to a software developer. Working from his studio in Olympia, Washington, he has recorded numerous audiobooks, including Crescent Lake by David Sakmyster and several titles in David Niall Wilson's DeChance Chronicles. Corey's love of reading and storytelling shows in every word, regardless of whether he is bringing characters from a novel to life, clearly detailing military history, or making software theory riveting.
