Author Information

Finn Brunton is assistant professor of media, culture, and communication at New York University and the author of Spam: A Shadow History of the Internet. Helen Nissenbaum is professor of media, culture, and communication and computer science at New York University and the author of Privacy in Context. She is one of the developers of the TrackMeNot browser extension. Dana Hickox is a Juilliard-trained actor with off-Broadway, regional theater, and network television credits. As a voice-over artist, he has recorded textbooks for Learning Ally's New York and Washington, DC, units. He has also recorded poetry and children's stories for the David Black Literary Agency.
