"Philip J. Berg - a Life Long Democrat I was a candidate for Governor and United States Senate. In Pennsylvania I served as a Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania for eight [8] years. I have fought for the rights of others for all my life. As a life-long Democrat, I was the pro-choice candidate in the 1990 Democratic Primary for Governor. I lost to incumbent Robert Casey. During the 1990 campaign, one of my ideas changed politics forever. I traveled the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with my political adviser and friend, Eric Bradway, in a motor home called the ""BERGMOBILE."" Casey's Campaign Manager was James Carville. They were concerned about the widespread TV and Newspaper coverage I was receiving, with the very visible ""BERGMOBILE"" as it traveled thousands of miles throughout Pennsylvania. With a budget of $120,000, I received twenty-three [23%] percent of the vote against the most popular Governor in Pennsylvania's history. I attributed it to the issues and the ""BERGMOBILE."" Two [2] years later, in 1992, James Carville was Campaign Manager for Bill Clinton. After the Democratic National Convention in New York City, Carville put Clinton in a fancy Campaign Bus and traveled through several states. I changed politics and campaigning forever. I smile each time I see a motorhome or campaign bus. In addition, I have held many campaign positions for candidates in the Democratic Party. Side bar note: I was born April 13th, the same day as President Thomas Jefferson who said: ""For here we are not afraid to follow truth wherever it may lead."" That statement has inspired me over the years and especially when Obama came on the scene. I was in general law practice for 33 years n Lafayette Hill, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania before retiring in July 2013. I remain a Volunteer, as I have for the past 33 years, with the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Department in Whitemarsh Township, as a Fire Police Officer, having served as a Sergeant and Lieutenant. I am the only Attorney to ever file lawsuits against two [2] standing Presidents of the United States. I am a true American patriot. I have never been afraid to ask hard questions or address unpopular issues, others fear to raise."
