Reviews

I really wish now that a book like this was available when I started the course as it would have eliminated many of my worries and concerns... this...incorporates everything you could ever need to keep you on track with the course... covers many aspects which are not covered within other nursing handbooks Lina Penfold, Student nurse, Adult branch, University of Southampton the student advice is extremely useful Navjeet Kaur, Student nurse, Child branch , Birmingham City University this would be helpful for a student to read a few weeks before starting their first placement as it explains simple things which sometimes are over looked Sara Hosseini-Moein, Student Nurse Adult branch, Bournemouth I think this is an essential text for any new nursing student... students would benefit greatly from the advice and information... Most of the information is contained in several other texts, but it has been put together along with an experienced commentary... good to see it in one readable text Neil Davison, Lecturer, Bangor University. the ideal book for a nurse starting her/his course... It gives a comprehensive overview of how to get the most learning from the placement... the student nurse is prepared what will placements will be like. Joel Hawkins, Mentor and Mental Health Nurse, Oxford 10/10 It would be of great use to any new student to refer to over their first few weeks and days of a nursing course Michael Adams, lecturer, BCU an essential resource for students before their first CFP placement and... suitable for CFP students who have never entered a clinical practice environment before Kathryn Catty, Practice Placement Manager, Adult Nursing, Birmingham Excellent practical ideas to deal with the work life balance involved in nursing degrees Kaye Greenough, Acting Director of CPSU, Cardiff It tackles a wide range of topics with a lot of useful hints and tips. Moya Paton, Lecturer in Adult Nursing, University of the West of Scotland.
