Author Information

Dr. Nezha Mejjad is a Research Scientist at the National Center for Energy, Sciences, and Nuclear Techniques (CNESTEN) in Rabat, Morocco. Her interdisciplinary work combines marine geochemistry, blue carbon ecosystems, and environmental sustainability, with a focus on using nuclear and isotopic techniques to assess marine and coastal pollution. Her research has been supported by numerous International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) projects and collaborations with research institutions across Europe and the Mediterranean region. Dr. Mejjad has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and 11 book chapters and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals, such as Communications Earth & Environment (Nature), PLOS ONE, and BMC Environment (Springer Nature). Her work has earned her several awards, including the Best Thesis Award in 2018.
