Overview

New York was a dangerous place in the 1980's. It was filled with misfits and vagabonds, scoundrels and thieves. It was a place were gangsters controlled the streets, and where a corrupt civil structure was no match up against the depravity that consumed the lives of over 10 million people. This is the story of a little taxi cab company that rode those streets from 1983 till 1989. It is the story of three young men that decided to stake their claim on the avenues and pursue the great American dream. Scott grew up in that town just down the road from the Huntington train Station, where the commuter trains roll in from Manhattan everyday. It was no big deal that he would eventually find himself working for the big taxi firm up off Broadway at the rail. But fate would have a twist coming and after an impromptu meeting with a couple of fellow drivers they decided to join forces and open North Star Taxi company. This is that story and This is their journey. The odds were stacked against them as the little up start churned itself forward in the midst of the dark forces that prevailed. And they did prevail, by changing the way the taxi transportation industry would evolve from that time forward. Through the dark streets they rode on their baby blue chariots, winding a path through it and everything Murphy's Law could to throw at them. This is their story, hope you enjoy the trip.
