English summary: A full-length commentary on the epigrams of Nicarchus II (1st cent. AD), preserved in the Anthologia Palatina and on papyri. Particular attention is paid to the author's creative play with traditional settings of the epigrammatic genre. German description: Vorgelegt wird erstmals eine umfassende Kommentierung aller erhaltenen Epigramme des moglicherweise aus Agypten stammenden Nikarch II (2. Halfte 1 Jh. n. Chr.). Seine in griechischer Sprache verfassten Spottepigramme, die teilweise auch der lateinisch schreibende Martial als Modell benutzt hat, sind zum grossten Teil in den Sammelhandschriften der Anthologia Palatina und Planudea uberliefert; seit 1999 sind zudem 6 neue Gedichte auf Papyrus bekannt geworden. Der Sitz im Leben dieser Gedichte ist gewiss in der Unterhaltungskultur anlasslich des antiken Gastmahls zu sehen, wofur es in den Texten selbst zahlreiche Hinweise gibt.
