New book, Night Lights, from Indie Author Tess Seda comes 4 years after the release of her second collection. This book discernably is a different addition to her usual work. It is composed in such a way that takes the reader on a journey through the ups and downs of CPTSD, PTSD and similar circumstances. The standout component is under most of the pieces she writes a portion related to the prose that reads as a personal message to a friend. The message is uplifting as if you could turn to those pages alone when you need a boost and find her giving you a needed pep talk. As the book progresses you find the pieces take on more strength, light, and inspiration akin to someone removing themselves from a difficult situation and coming to a better place of mind and spirit. Weaving different styles of writing throughout gives it a refreshing diversity to the poetry in-between the prose and pep-talks. Coming to the end of the book you find the title is aptly named for the theme and the emotions she captures in this literary journey. There is light in the darkness with more to come.
