Reviews

...A rare comprehensive assessment...presented in a lucid but elegant manner and undertak[ing] critical analysis of the policies and politics of the Obasanjo administration. The book is stimulating and reflects a deep understanding of the subjects covered. -- Dipo Kolawole, former special assistant to Nigeria's Honourable Minister of Education; professor of political science/international relations and former vice-chancellor, University of Ado-Ekiti; chairman, peace and security, ECOSOC African Union The book...critically interrogates the major challenges in the areas of policies and politics in Nigeria since 1999...I commend the book to all scholars and practitioners who are interested in the socio-political development of Nigeria as well as the discerning public. -- I.B. Bello-Imam, professor of political science and strategic studies, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin ...Penetratingly examines the Obasanjo administration, underlining its high and low points...provid[ing] profound analysis of the major policies of that government. -- Sylvester Odion Akhaine, executive director, Centre for Constitutionalism and Demilitarisation, Lagos; former general secretary, Campaign for Democracy
