After graduating from Rutgers with an engineering degree, he enjoyed an interesting career in science and business. Leaving that world behind, he decided to pursue his true passion, a lifelong love of history and literature, and undertake writing his first novel. During the creative process while researching the time period, he became thoroughly intrigued by the history of the so-called Lost Generation and inspired by the great writers of that period. He has begun writing a sequel to Newark Confessions. Today, R.J. lives with his wife Erica and their faithful dog, Sophie, in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
