Overview

It is February 1943 and Lizzie Barnes, a young ATA pilot, discovers the murdered body of a nineteen year old civilian girl on an RAF training base. Can her intuition and observation help solve the crime when the ghosts of her past cause her to jump to a conclusion? Who is the girl and what is she doing on the base? Robbie McBane from the RAF Police is visiting the base to investigate a more minor matter and has to deal with this murder. Is the murderer that arrogant Flight Lieutenant Dearing, the secretive Flight Lieutenant Driscoll, the surly Corporal Davies or perhaps the blustering but incompetent Group Captain Lovell? Lizzie sees things that Robbie does not. Both are attracted to each other. Can they overcome the events of the past that have hurt them and establish a relationship?
