When he was seventeen, Dave witnessed Mafia members murder his elderly boss, and he fled. However, they tracked him down and attempted to kill him. After changing his name, he joined the military and served in a war zone. After his discharge, Dave settled in Tyler, a small mountain town. Gary Williams served four years in the Marine Corps, including one year in Vietnam. Following his discharge, he became a police officer in Florida and served for thirty-six years. Gary married Linda in 1969, and they live in Jacksonville, Florida. They enjoy spending time with family and friends.
