Im Prodrome fuhrt er alle Fossilien der quiriquina-schichten '1'1nter seinem etage senonien auf. Zweifelt also offenbar gar nicht an dem cretaceischen Alter der dortigen Ablagerungen; Cardium nuca findet sich (iii, p. 120) unter dem etage falunien als bei Coquimbo und auf Quiriquina vorkommend angegeben.
