In algebraic geometry, the Neron-Severi group of a variety is the group of divisors modulo algebraic equivalence; in other words it is the group of components of the Picard scheme of a variety. Its rank is called the Picard number. It is named after Francesco Severi and Andre Neron. In algebraic geometry, a branch of mathematics, an adequate equivalence relation is an equivalence relation on algebraic cycles of smooth projective varieties used to obtain a well-working theory of such cycles, and in particular, well-defined intersection products. Samuel formalized the concept of an adequate equivalence relation in 1958. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Lambert M. Surhone , Miriam T. Timpledon , Susan F.
