It is the first in a planned series about twin brother and sister Neo and Nubia, eight and a half years old blessed with brilliance and adventurous spirits. In this inaugural story, the twins and their best friend are told stories of history by their grandfather Nmandi and soon find themselves transported to a magical land in Africa where those stories come to life with startling and colorful reality. Kids will be captured by Neo and Nubia's heroic efforts, and they will love reading the book's smooth, rhyming verses. Adults will enjoy the subtle yet compelling stories of world history and their uplifting messages of hope. When I saw the cover, I was intrigued by the story of Neo & Nubia and the idea that we all share a common history on this globe. I remember my boyhood pillow fights and stories about a campfire in the deep forest. As a dream and time travel saga, the story captivated me and immersed me in the hero's journey. I felt the excitement of the lush colors and stunning graphics that built the world of the first humans, and I imagined myself walking with them. This book took me back to my very imaginative childhood filled with science fiction, horror, and rich multicultural stories. Chinwe Onyeagoro and Oby Onyeagoro are the creators of the Neo & Nubia series.Chinwe lives in the Washington D.C. area and runs a technology company. She is a Harvard University graduate with a degree in Economics. Oby lives in London and works in finance. He studied Electrical Engineering and has a dual masters from Harvard Business School and Harvard School of Education.Just like their main characters, they are siblings with roots in Nigeria who grew up in the United States and traveled the world learning about the contributions of the African Diaspora throughout history. Now, with six of their own kids, they are excited to share those same stories with the next generation. Chinwe Onyeagoro and Oby Onyeagoro are the creators of the Neo & Nubia series.Chinwe lives in the Washington D.C. area and runs a technology company.
