"Vanessa Hexe (creator of EVILSPEAK MAGAZINE) writes this about NEKROMANTIKAL SCREAMS...I proudly present my new horror/exploitation/underground zine/book series titled NEKROMANTIKAL SCREAMS. Vol. 1 includes features on the following films: Alucarda, Fascination, Begotten, Season of the Witch, The VVitch (w/ soundtrack review), See the Sea, Der Fan, The Stepfather, a backwoods double feature of Axe and Pigs, and a spread titled Mortuaria: Necrophilia in Film and Culture where I chew the fat about Ed Gein, Karen Greenlee and the films Nekromantik 1 & 2, Buio Omega, and Aftermath, and featuring art by Mark Riddick (originally drawn for the unfinished/unreleased LESIONS of IMPETIGO tribute zine).Films are not all I enjoy writing about, and in each volume of N.S. I will be sharing book and music reviews/retrospects, and showcasing artist spotlights. These reoccurring sections will be (including features in Vol. 1): BOOK MAGGOT - ""If You Want to Scare Yourself"" & ""Witchcraft: The Story of Man's Search for Supernatural Power"" COLOR YOU BLOOD RED - artist interviews and galleries! Look for artists Corinne Halbert and N.S. Vol. 1 cover artist Don England to be celebrated.MUSICA MACABRE - album retrospects, band interviews, etc.! I'm finally publishing my love letter to the great IMPETIGO (also originally intended to be published in LESIONS of IMPETIGO tribute zine). Last but certainly not least is BLACK BLOOD MEMORIUM - an important tribute to the late Frank ""Killjoy DeSade"" Pucci. I share my Killjoy story in these pages - a person I admired for years as a musician and was proud to call friend up until his death in 2018. This feature is complete with the help of artist and writer Colin Rodgers who lends ink and memories of Killjoy."
