She has completed B.Sc. (2012), M.Sc. (2015) and Ph.D. (2020) from Aligarh Muslim University. She has been a topper throughout her University career and has received University Gold Medals in B.Sc. and M.Sc. Geography. She qualified UGC Junior Research Fellowship (2014) in her first attempt. She has received “Young Geographer Award” by Rajasthan Geographical Association (2017) and “Commendation Certificate” in Young Geographer Competition by National Association of Geographers of India (2017). She has more than eight years of research experience in the field of urban and environmental geography. She has also worked as a Research Associate in an ICSSR project. She has published nineteen research papers with National and International publishers of repute like Taylor and Francis, Springer, and Elsevier. Saleha Jamal, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University completed her B.Sc. (2006), M.Sc. (2008) and Ph.D. (2012) from Aligarh Muslim University. Throughout she had a brilliant academic career having obtained University Gold Medal for first position in B.Sc. and M.Sc.She has more than ten years of teaching experience at UG and PG level. She has been awarded with various prestigious scholarships like PG Merit Scholarship (2007), INSPIRE Fellowship (2010), Young Geographer Awards (2010, 2010, 2012) Best Researcher Award (2011) Special Recognition Award on World Wetland Day (2021) and Best Geography Teacher Award (2023).
