Author Information

"Lex Hixon (Sheikh Nur al-Jerrahi) received his Ph.D. in World Religions from Columbia University in 1976. He then became an adept practitioner of several of the world's sacred traditions. From 1971 to 1984 he conducted a weekly radio show in New York City called ""In The Spirit,"" interviewing spiritual teachers from around the world. An enlightened spiritual teacher, he guided many souls along their chosen path. Among his books are Great Swan, Mother of the Universe, Heart of the Koran, Atom from the Sun of Knowledge, Mother of the Buddhas, and Living Buddha Zen. Rabbi Rami Shapiro is an award-winning author, poet, essayist, and educator whose poems have been anthologized in over a dozen volumes, and whose prayers are used in prayer books around the world. Rami received rabbinical ordination from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and holds doctoral degrees in both Jewish studies and divinity. A congregational rabbi for 20 years, Rabbi Shapiro currently teaches Religious Studies at Middle Tennessee State University, and directs One River, a not-for-profit educational foundation devoted to building community through contemplative conversation. Rami writes a regular column for Spirituality and Health Magazine called Roadside Assistance on Your Spiritual Journey. His books include The Sacred Art of Lovingkindness, The Divine Feminine, Open Secrets, and many more. Babaji Bob Kindler is the Spiritual Director of the Sarada Ramakrishna Vivekananda (SRV) Associations. He was initiated into the Ramakrishna lineage by revered Swami Aseshanandaji, a direct disciple of Sri Sarada Devi, the wife and spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Babaji is also the editor of Nectar of Non-Dual Truth and the author of many books on India's eternal Wisdom, including Footfalls of the Indian Rishis, Charting the Timeless Wisdom of Mother India. As an exponent of blending Jnana Yoga with the path of sound called Shabda Brahman, Babaji is also an accomplished musician, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist in both Western classical and Eastern raga-based music. He has composed and produced over 25 albums in these musical styles."
