Author Information

Michael Linder, writing as Merv Straus, is an author from Elgin, Illinois. At 17, he volunteered for military service, serving in Korea. He utilized the GI Bill to graduate as a Rho Chi Scholar with dual degrees in Pharmacy from North Dakota State University. In 1967, he met his wife, Pat, and embarked on a distinguished career with the Veteran's Administration, ultimately serving as Director of the VA Medical Center in Wilkies-Barrie, Pennsylvania. Now retired, Michael and Pat travel extensively, which inspires his passion for writing adult novels, including Neap Tide at Shem Creek.
