Nathaniel has been in spirit form for a while and decides to go back to earth. GOD crafts an expert plan, but when Nathaniel emerges into the sun, he realizes he is a tree. This isn't what he wanted at all! How can a tree learn about love? This gentle story reminds us that love comes in many forms, and even when we're disappointed, there are many lessons to learn. Trees don't have much choice but to bloom where they're planted, but taking a leaf from their book, we can all appreciate what we have and treasure moments of kindness and beauty when they find us. I particularly love the soft style of this book that makes it feel like taking a deep, cleansing breath. The illustrations came out simply beautiful. This would be a lovely coffee table book.
