After receiving his Ll.M and J.S.D. degrees from Yale Law School, Don M. Ferry engaged in corporate law practice, capping this with more than a decade's service as general counsel of a large insurance group. Now retired, he divides his time between his wife and his children and their families in San Francisco and a home in Manila. He plays chess and tennis, bikes, reads contemporary writings in popular history and culture, and surfs the Internet regularly.
