Over the years, I have been a passionate collector of illustrated books about Jerusalem. I consider my most recent acquisition, My Jerusalem: The Eternal City, edited by Ilan Greenfield with superb photography by Ziv Koren, published by Gefen Publishing to be by far the best photographic volume I have ever seen. The photographs, accompanied by brief essays from leading Jewish and non-Jewish personalities from all over the world, include some extraordinary and highly uplifting tributes. I would strongly recommend the volume to all who love Jerusalem, Israelis and visitors alike - non-Jews as well as Jews --Isi Leibler

Author Information

Ziv Koren has been a professional photojournalist for over 25 years. He began his career as a photographer in the Israeli army. Today, Koren works for the Hebrew daily Israel Hayom, represents the Polaris Images photography agency in Israel, and serves as a Canon Ambassador for EMEA. Koren, who is based in Tel Aviv, was the subject of the documentary film More than 1000 Words, which was widely screened at film festivals around the world, garnering a dozen awards. He regularly lectures at workshops and universities worldwide. My Jerusalem is his 15th book.
