Peter Redford was a Metropolitan police detective for thirty years, working on specialist squads at Scotland Yard targeting dangerous and violent criminals. Now a resident of Sussex, he writes from his wide-ranging police experience. His first novel, 'An Urgent Murder' (under the pseudonym Alex Winchester), introduced John Whiles who investigates a chilling murder in a small Sussex village. The second novel in the series, 'A Murderer's Legacy', finds Whiles tackling assassins amid high level corruption.
