Overview

When a miserable S.O.B. is murdered at the J.O.B. (Jack Off Buddies) party on Seattle's Capitol Hill, detectives find sixty naked suspects. Bruce Chealander, unfortunately, is suspect #1 after his public argument with the victim just an hour earlier. That's unfortunate for Detective Demir Altan, too, as he finds himself drawn to the potential murderer. But Bruce isn't the only suspect. Salvador Castro had three exes at the sex club, and several of the volunteers hated the guy as well. But when a second man is killed at another jack off party two weeks later, and this victim only has ties to Bruce, he's back as Suspect #1.Is someone trying to deflect suspicion from the first murder by murdering someone else? Is there a gay serial killer on the loose? None of this is helping improve Bruce's strained marriage with his Duwamish partner. Bruce does not want to get involved in the investigation, but with increasing political tensions in addition to the sexual tension at home, he can't let this one bit of gay culture-and freedom-slip away without a fight. Will his blundering efforts help find the killer or spur the man to act again? And can Bruce stay out of jail long enough to discover the real killer before he or any more of his friends end up dead?
