When a miserable S.O.B. is murdered at the J.O.B. (Jack Off Buddies) party on Seattle's Capitol Hill, detectives find sixty naked suspects. Bruce Chealander, unfortunately, is suspect #1 after his public argument with the victim just an hour earlier. That's unfortunate for Detective Demir Altan, too, as he finds himself drawn to the potential murderer. But Bruce isn't the only suspect. Salvador Castro had three exes at the sex club, and several of the volunteers hated the guy as well.But when a second man is killed at another jack off party two weeks later, and this victim only has ties to Bruce, he's back as Suspect #1.Is someone trying to deflect suspicion from the first murder by murdering someone else? A climate crisis immigrant who relocated from New Orleans to Seattle in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Johnny Townsend wrote the first account of the UpStairs Lounge fire, an attack on a French Quarter gay bar which killed 32 people in 1973. He was an associate producer for the documentary Upstairs Inferno, for the sci-fi film Time Helmet, and for the deaf gay short Flirting, with Possibilities.
