Dr K.C. Baiju, is a Professor in Economics at the Central University of Kerala, India, with 32 years of teaching and research experience. He received MA, MPhil and PhD degrees in Economics from the University of Kerala, India. He has published numerous research papers and articles in many national and international journals, and his areas of interest include development economics, human development, poverty, and local governance.Shibu Sivaraman is a UGC-Senior Research Fellow pursuing a PhD in Economics at the Central University of Kerala, India. He has completed an MPhil in Economics at Central University of Kerala, and received an MEd in Social Science from the University of Kerala, India, and an MA in Economics from the Government Victoria College, Palakkad, Kerala, India. His areas of interest include teaching and research in development economics, poverty and marginalization, human development, and social inclusion.
