Author Information

Luke Daniel Paiva, M. Ed., is a teacher who lives with his wife and two small boys in Franklin, Tennessee. His favorite things about Shakespeare are his clever observations about people and his ability to subtly (or not so subtly) mix them with humor. This is his first children's book. William Shakespeare (April 26, 1564 (baptised) - April 23, 1616) was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the Bard of Avon. His extant works, including collaborations, consist of approximately 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems and a few other verses, some of uncertain authorship. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright. Roberto Irace is an illustrator, graphic designer, curator, and art director from Italy. Also known as Erre, he provided the illustrations for all three titles in the Play on Shakespeare series. Shiromi Arserio is a stage actor, voice talent, and audiobook narrator. She holds a BA in theater from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. In addition to narrating dozens of audiobooks, her voice can be heard in documentaries, e-learning projects, and video games such as Nancy Drew: The Shattered Medallion. A native of London, England, she currently resides in the Seattle area with her husband and her two fur babies.
