OverviewThis story is based on a real 2021 event. Two domestic bunnies made their home in Mr. Wurst's yard. They had a youngster, but sadly they did not survive. They lived and loved for over one year, which is surprising because domestic rabbits usually cannot live in the wild. As sad as their short lives were, their story can help us better understand grief. For this reason Mr. Wurst wrote their short story for children and adults in the hope that it can help us understand the universal nature of grief. We all suffer in different ways, but there are common stages that most of us and our children go through after a loss. It is the hope of the author that parents will read this story with their children as a means of opening up the difficult conversation of death and sadness. I hope you and your family will find the joy that we all need in our lives.
