"""This book is a must read for every thoughtful artiste who wants to live on his own terms."" Robert Kyagulanyi (aka Bobi Wine), Ugandan politician, singer, and actor.""A wild, walking historical encyclopaedia of global pop and more, Moving Music is mandatory reading for everyone who cares about the history of rock 'n' roll, the power of protest, and the sheer joy of great music no matter the chaos surrounding it."" Mark Levine, prof of history, Univ. of California, musician, author, co-founder, Kakuma Sound. ""Rikki Stein has been an iconic force in the music scene for over 50 years. His depth of knowledge runs deep, and his storytelling weaves a calliope of brain-bending tales that makes us all pine for travelling the world with touring musicians."" Morgan Margolis, president, Knitting Factory Entertainment. ""In Moving Music, Rikki masterfully documents his remarkable journey across continents and cultures, immersing us in a world where music isn’t just a universal language, but a vibrant life force that connects and inspires us all. His work with Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, his role in revitalising and preserving Fela's vast musical catalogue, and his enduring support for other artists including Fela's sons, Femi and Seun, all make for captivating reading."" Terfa Tilley-Gyado, director of communications, The Temple Company."
