Antonio Bento-Goncalves is Professor of Physical Geography and Environmental Studies at the Department of Geography (University of Minho, Portugal) and Researcher at the CEGOT (Center for Studies in Geography and Spatial Planning). Antonio Bento-Goncalves is member of the Executive Council of the CEGOT and vice-president of the Portuguese Association of hazards, Prevention and Safety. His main research topics are the wildland fires, natural hazards, geomorphology, soil erosion processes, and geography of rural and mountainous areas.
