Author Information

Roberto Scarfone, journalist, lives in Moscow with his wife and two children. As a young man, he worked as a Deputy Station Master. Following this, he went to London, where he worked first as a washer up in a restaurant, then as an ice-cream seller. Back in Italy, Scarfone was taken on as a journalist with the daily newspaper 'l'Unita' and then with 'Paese Sera'. His knowledge of foreign languages led to an appointment with the ANSA news agency, where he worked for three years on the night shift. After the period as night cover, the Agency sent him as correspondent first to Russia (1991-2002), then to India and finally to Tunisia. Roberto Scarfone is author of the novel 'La mafia fa schifo' (The Mafia Sucks) out with Amazon.
