Author Information

Alida Hilbrander has extensive experience working with people who are dying or grieving. As Director of Home Support Services for eleven years and of Hospice Services for ten years, she has worked with individuals of all ages, including infants in developmental programs, effective parenting, and the elderly. She has trained and supervised home support workers and hospice volunteers. She took Childcare at the University of Victoria. Her education includes courses in Esoteric Training and Philosophical Counselling, both with Andrew Schneider. Ms. Hilbrander's passion for people and education led her to serve as Secretary with the international Institute of Global Education and as Coordinator of their Indian Student Scholarship Program. She served as Vice President of the World Service Association raising awareness and sponsorship for low caste Indian students. A prolific writer, she is also the author of Soul-Link- Parting the Veils of Separation, published in 2010. Alida Hilbrander lives in British Columbia. Born and educated in Holland, she and her late husband raised their family on an organic homestead in BC, Canada. They were married for forty-five years.
