OverviewThe purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of monetary policy on macroeconomic stability in the CEMAC zone. The analysis was conducted on a panel using a hypothetico-deductive approach and secondary data sources from the World Bank (2020) and the BEAC, over a period from 2010 to 2019. Using the ordinary least squares method in time series, we find that monetary policy has a mixed effect on macroeconomic stability in the CEMAC zone. Thus, monetary policy is designed to ensure macroeconomic stability in the sub-region, which is explained by the economy remaining on its potential growth path.
