Her enjoyment in children's books comes from her 18-year career in early childhood education. As a hobby, she writes bilingual children's books with the help of her teenaged son and daughter. Their mission is to increase the number of bilingual books that help introduce children to a sophisticated vocabulary. Sandra and her husband, Reynaldo Mora, own Skillful & Soulful Press. Their first published bilingual book, ""Mommy, Tell Me Why I Am Radiant"" received two International Latino Book Awards. Julia Rae Rodriguez has been fascinated by words since she was a baby. Her favorite color at 2 years old was chartreuse and she described her favorite people as ""exquisite"" when she was three. Julia is in 5th grade attending a public school in Whittier, CA. Her favorite subject is science. Her creative hobbies include acting, singing, and making her family laugh with her improvisation. When she grows up she wants to live in Paris, France with her friends. Julia's dreams include traveling the world, being a successful business owner, and becoming a world-known author. Julia helped make history and marched at the Women's March Los Angeles in January 2017 with 750,000 other beautiful people who stood up for love, respect, and rights for all humans. Reynaldo Mora is a figurative artist with extensive experience creating fine art with acrylics, chalk, pastel, oils, photography, and mixed media. The source of inspiration for many of Rey's art pieces comes from the cultural wealth that he inherited from his Mexican ancestors. The theme that most resonates with Rey's artwork is movement because he feels that there is life, progress, growth, and learning in movement. Rey has a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and is the co-founder of Skillful & Soulful Press. His first published illustrated children's book won two International Latino Book Awards.
