In the immediate vicinity of the Old and New Pinakotheks, Munich's famous art galleries, is one of the most interesting mmuseum buildings of the present day - the Pinakothek der Moderne, which completes the display of the Bavarian State Collections. Located in the Heart of Munich, it houses the State Gallery of Modern Art and the New Collection of Graphic Art, an international centre for art, architecture and design of the 20th and 21st centuries. Cathrin Klingsohr-Leroy is a curator at the Pinakothek der Moderne, having worked within the Classic Modern Art department for ten years. Her numerous publications include books on Lovis Corinth, Lyonel Feininger, Naum Gabo, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee and Franz Marc, as well as on Surrealism and Abstract Art.
