Dr. Vasileios Zeimpekis is lecturing at the Department of Financial & Management Engineering at the University of the Aegean and is Deputy Director of the DeOPSyS lab situated at the same University. Vasileios is also lecturing at the Hellenic Open University and is member of the BoD of the Greek Logistics Association. His research interests focus on Supply Chain Management with emphasis on Sustainable Transport & Emerging Technologies. He has published 4 edited volumes in the management of Supply Chains and more than 60 papers and studies in academic journals and conferences. During the last decade he has participated in more than 20 research projects and more than 50 industrial projects. Vasileios acts also as an instructor in executive seminars and workshops in public organizations and private firms. He has been appointed as scientific associate in the Hellenic Ministry of Development, as well as in the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport & Networks. He is also a reviewer at the Hellenic General Secretariat of Research & Development, as well as at the European Union. Dr. Zeimpekis holds a BEng(Hons) in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Essex (UK), an MSc in Mobile & Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey (UK) and an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick (UK). He earned his PhD from the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece). Dr. Zeimpekis is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, of the Economic Chamber of Greece, and of the European Technical Chamber (FEANI). Dr. George Kaimakamis holds a position of Assistant Professor in Hellenic Army Academy. His research interests’ focus on Military Operations Research, Optimization, Application of Mathematics in Combat Models, Geometry. He has published more than 30 papers and studies in academic journals andconferences. He is member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Computations and Modeling. Dr. Kaimakamis holds a Bachelor in Mathematics from the University of Patras (Greece), an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Patras (Greece), and an MSc in Applied & Financial Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business- AUEB (Greece). He earned his PhD from the Department of Mathematics from University of Patras (Greece). Dr. Kaimakamis is member of the Hellenic Mathematical Society and Hellenic Operational Research Society. Prof. Nicholas J. Daras is a Professor in Hellenic Army Academy. His research interests’ focus on Operational Research, Military Operations Research, Optimization, Application of Mathematics in Combat Models. He has published more than 35 papers and studies in academic journals and conferences.  He has published 1 edited volume entitled: Applications of Mathematics and Informatics in Military Science and Cryptography and its Applications in the Armed Forces (from Springer). Prof. Daras holds a Bachelor in in Mathematics, Department of Mathematics, University of Athens and Diplôme d’etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.), Département des Mathématiques, Université des Sciences et Techniques de Lille Flandres-Artois, Lille. He earned his PhD from the Département des Mathématiques, Université des Sciences et Techniques de Lille Flandres-Artois, Lille (Supervisors: C. Brezinski, G. Cœuré). Prof. Daras is member of the Hellenic Mathematical Society, Hellenic Operational Research Society.
