Overview"Midnight Miracle tells the familiar Christmas story through the eyes of the shepherds and the animals. Written by Gene Grier and Lowell Everson, the music includes engaging original compositions as well as arrangements of the familiar Christmas carols ""He Is Born"" and Silent Night."" In addition to helping children learn the Christmas story, the education component helps children learn the difference between ""legend"" and truth. As they learn the musical, the children will learn to define the word legend and will also discover for themselves that the bibical account of the birth of Christ is true, not some legend, and therefore has real meaning for people's lives. The set and costumes are traditional in nature. There are 5-8 speaking parts for the animals, in addition to shepherds and townspeople. Suggestions for creating simple costumes for several different animals (cow, sheep, and donkey) are included."
